The highlands of Guatemala produces some of the finest coffee available. The El Injerto farm in the Huehuetenango region consistently produces beans of the highest quality. In fact, the El Injerto farm took 1st place in the 2006 and 2009 Cup of Excellence, 3rd in 2002, and 6th Place in 2007. Probably the only reason they were not in the 2003, 2004, or 2005 top ten was because there was no competition held those years.
The Strictly Hard Bean (SHB) grade featured here has the full body and crisp acidity of a true world class coffee. Deep rich aroma with hints of spice giving way to the complex fruit, chocolate and caramel flavors in the cup.
The subtleties of this coffee are best experienced with a medium to medium-dark roast. The enticing aroma and long-lasting flavor is a sensory treat to be experienced often.
