Good Rwanda coffees bring a nice clean coffee flavor to the cup. This lot is strictly of the Bourbon variety and grade AA. Grown and processed in the Western region of Rwanda at the Kinunu Washing Station. 3000 small land holders supply the washing station with coffee cherries.
The coffees are grown at 1650-1900 meters elevation.
The beans are of medium size (16-17 screen size) and produce a moderate amount of chaff.
Best when roasted to full city +, just at second crack. Deep rich flavor with a touch of spice, floral, fruit. Overall, a smooth cup with a clean aftertaste.
Behmor users: 1/2 pound roast produced ~1/2 cup of Chaff.
**Use caution on large batch dark roasts**
