
The Mandheling from Sumatra is one of the best known, distinctive coffees in the world. This Mandheling primarily consists of the Typica variety and was produced by various small farmers in the Takengon area in northern Sumatra. Grown between 1200 to 1500 meters and processed using traditional wet hulled process. The coffee boasts a pleasing rich aroma all the way to the incredibly smooth clean finish, this a great Sumatran coffee.
Aim for a Full City++ roast, about 30-45 seconds into second crack if your roast times average 15 minutes or more. If your roast times are shorter then go till you see the first drops of oil. Look for the pleasant floral aroma and flavors followed by a slight fruit finish.
