The Young Press was designed by the Bodum Design Group to develop a modern yet functional coffee press that delivers top quality coffee and can be used in a variety of environments. The durable frame is made of santoprene - a hard rubber like material. The windows are made of clear polycarbonate.

Together, these two layers form a protective skin around the glass beaker that helps prevent breakage, making the Young Press an ideal press for home, office, boat, and even camping. The glass beaker can easily be removed for cleaning and placement in the dishwasher. For those who prefer to hand-wash they Young Press, they don't need to worry as much about knocking the glass beaker against a metal sink. The Young Press' frame also assists in keeping the coffee hot longer while insuring that the body of the press remains cool to the touch and is safe to set on most surfaces. Should the glass beaker break, it is easily replaced with the the standard Bodum 8-Cup Replacement Glass. The young Press brews 8 - 4oz. cups of coffee or 1.0 litter / 34 oz. This size is ideal for serving 2 - 3 people.

Instructions for use:

How can I use it?

1. Place on a stable, non-slip surface.

2. Add coarse ground coffee into the glass beaker.

3. Add hot water. (195 - 205F/90C° - 96C°)

4. Place the press/lid onto the pot in the up position.

5. Allow the coffee to brew for 4-minutes.

6. Depress the plunger gently.

7. Pour the deired amount into your favorite mug.

8. Enjoy your excellently brewed coffee.

Note: be careful, the beverage you are going to enjoy is very hot.
TIP: If the plunger is diffcult to press down, simply raise the plunger rod up about one inch and then resume pressing.
